Hunting Rules

  • It is by law that no alcohol may be consumed during the hunt.
  • Please don’t throw your cigarette butts away in the bush.
  • You may fill your rifle’s magazine with bullets before the days hunting, but a bullet may only be loaded into the chamber per your Professional Hunter’s instructions.
  • Before taking a shot at an animal, make sure you are comfortable with taking the shot, as any wounded animals must be paid for in full.
  • An animal is determined wounded when any blood (no matter how little) is found.
  • At the end of each day you must empty your rifle’s magazine, and lock it in the gun safe in your room.
  • When driving with your rifle in the front of a vehicle, the barrel must point towards the floor of the vehicle.
  • When driving with your rifle on the back of a vehicle, the barrel must point upwards at all times.
  • When driving on a public road with your rifle to hunt on another ranch, it is by law that the rifle must be transported in a gun case.
  • It is imperative that all payments for extra animals are settled in full before your departure. We accept Master and Visa Cards only. Our credit card machine is unfortunately in Rands and our prices are quoted in US Dollars. In order for us to be paid the correct dollar amount, we use the rand buying rate for the day.
